Privacy policy
What personal data we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it.
01What this policy covers
This policy explains how SyntraPayment handles personal data when you visit our site, apply for an account, or use our services. It covers directors, beneficial owners, authorised users and the beneficiaries you pay.
02What we collect
Identity and contact details for directors, beneficial owners and users, including name, date of birth, address, email and identity documents.
Transaction data, meaning the amounts, currencies, corridors, references and beneficiaries involved in your payouts.
Technical data, meaning IP address, device and browser information, and how you use the dashboard. We use this for security and to improve the product.
03Why we hold it
To provide the service you asked for, which is the performance of our contract with you.
To meet legal obligations, including identity verification, sanctions screening, financial crime monitoring and record keeping required of regulated firms.
For our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, securing the platform and improving the product, balanced against your rights.
04Who we share it with
Partner banks and settlement providers, to the extent needed to deliver a payout to its destination.
Identity verification, sanctions screening and fraud prevention providers, and our cloud and infrastructure suppliers under written data processing terms.
Regulators, law enforcement and courts where we are legally required to. We never sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
05Moving data across borders
Cross-border payments require sending data to the destination country. Where data leaves its country of origin, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards with each recipient.
06How long we keep it
We keep identity and transaction records for at least seven years after an account closes, because financial regulation requires it. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period, typically twelve months.
07Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Some rights are limited where the law requires us to keep records.
Write to privacy@syntrapayments.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your data protection authority.
08Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect against fraud, and a small number of analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can refuse analytics cookies without losing access to any feature.
