You will work on the ledger and payout engine: the code that decides how money is recorded, priced and moved. It is the part of the system where correctness matters more than speed of delivery, and where a subtle bug is a real person's missing salary.
What you will do
- Design and build payout, quoting and ledger services in TypeScript and Go
- Own correctness properties end to end, including idempotency and reconciliation invariants
- Integrate new settlement partners and bring new corridors live
- Take part in the on-call rotation for the services you build
What we are looking for
- Five or more years building backend services that other teams depend on
- Direct experience with financial systems, double-entry ledgers, or another domain where correctness is non-negotiable
- Comfortable reasoning about distributed failure, retries and partial writes
- Willing to write the boring test that catches the expensive bug
